Mediator
Mediation is an informal and non-adversarial process in which a neutral impartial person, the mediator, facilitates negotiations between the disputing parties. The mediator helps the parties find a mutually acceptable solution to their dispute. A mediator has no power to impose a solution and will not attempt to do so. Rather, the parties, rather than a stranger to the process like a judge or an arbitrator, are empowered to reach their own unique resolution. The mediation approach is different from arbitration or a court solution where the arbitrator(s) or the judge decides the dispute.
As a certified mediator, Ms. Cole brings to the mediation process a perspective honed by years of litigation practice and trial experience gained by representing private clients and governmental entities for over 26 years. Her years of evidentiary and procedural experience is often helpful to the mediation participants, especially if the mediation involves issues related to complex commercial or business litigation; contracts; labor and employment (both private and federal employment issues, representing both employers and employees); securities; construction; partnerships, insurance, antitrust; banking; or, utilities.
