Lynn H. Cole, Esq.
For over twenty one (21) years, beginning in the early 1990s, Lynn Cole actively supported mediation in the State of Florida by serving as an appointee by the Florida Supreme Court to the (now) Dispute Resolution Board. As Chairman of the Civil Justice Reform Act Commission for the Middle District of Florida in 1998, she recommended initiation of mediation in the busy federal courts in Tampa, Ocala, Jacksonville and Orlando, all of which were suffering severe backlogs in civil cases.
After over 26 years as a trial attorney in complex litigation, she is now a fulltime dispute resolution professional in mediation and arbitration. She also has served as a Special Master, an SEC receiver, a neutral evaluator, a Special Magistrate and settlement counsel.
Florida-certified and Harvard-trained in mediation, she has a wide range of legal experience in the areas of: business and complex commercial; contracts; labor and employment; banking; securities; anti-trust; partnerships; utilities; and, insurance, among others. She has been invited to serve as a neutral by the American Arbitration Association (AAA); the International Institute for Conflict Resolution and Prevention (CPR); U. S. Council for International Business (USCIB); the World Organization of Intellectual Property (WIPO) in the Hague; FINRA; and, others.
